Nursery ikea hack 4

A few months ago I wrote a post about the IKEA hack with a commode for our nursery. You can read it here. Besides the commode we also wanted a little closet/storage bench for toys and chose the STUVA storage bench. Because the wall where it would stand against is white, we didn’t wanted a fully white one. We chose to use a underlayment front, just like we did with the commode.

Easter dinner table

For special occasions I like to style the dinner table. With styling you can create a nice and festive vibe which often puts a smile on the faces of your guests. Who doesn’t want that to happen? In this post I will show you how I would style the table for an Easter breakfast and lunch.

DIY dots lamp for the nursery 1

As I mentioned in my previous post we are busy to create a nice nursery for our little one. A place with a nice vibe. Not only for the baby, but also for us. I have to admin that I already love to be in this room. Dreaming about what’s next to come! But I have to be patient for about two months. And meanwhile I keep myself busy with the final finishing touches. So much fun!

Christmas dinner table

Yesterday I got a lot of nice responses on my post on my Instagram account of our Christmas dinner table, so I decided to write a blog about it!

I love food and find it very interesting to know how it’s made. That’s why I watch a lot of shows on our Dutch cooking channel. After watching I always feel inspired to make some new recipes, but somehow it actually never comes to that and I end up making recipes that I know will work out great. I’m not a kitchen princess! Luckily my partner can cook very well, so on special occasions I can focus on the decoration of the table!

Christmas styling

Personally I’m more of a Spring/Summer person, but… the fun thing of this December month is that you can create a wintery vibe in your home. The Christmas season brings a lot of coziness and it’s fun to add this sphere to your interior. With accessories that you maybe won’t normally use.

Just a quick message to tell you why I haven’t been that active in posting new articles on this blog… Tim and I are expecting a little one! We’re over the moon!! I am 20 weeks now and I’m feeling very well! Except of the tiredness that’s still around, but I don’t care, it’s for a good cause! We’re very excited about it and are looking forward to april 2016. Meanwhile I am gathering cute things for the nursery. I will show you how the now empty room transforms in a nursery on this blog. To be continued!

Close-up

As you might know I love Instagram! I find it very inspiring and I like to post my own pics. You can also find some good initiatives on IG like Instaswap. Founded by Lynda to share some kindness. A very good cause! Two times a year you can apply to participate the instaswap. You hand in your name, adres and IG-account and in return you receive the name of the IG-account of someone else. Now you can select or make some presents for this person you might even don’t know. All you have are the pictures of the account of your ‘swapbuddy’ and of course your own creativity! All participants have to mail the swap on a specific date, so everyone receives the swap about around the same time.
